Personality:
Small in size, but with a big story behind those gorgeous eyes. Aphid hasn't had the easiest start in life and arrived to us scared, matted and having experienced very little of the world. She has had plenty of time, patience and love poured into her during her stay, and what a difference it has made! With structure, training and people willing to let her find her feet at her own pace, Aphid has shown just how much trust can grow. She is still a little shy and can be unsure of quick movements, but she is also becoming quite the little explorer. New environments are exciting, and if there is something to climb on, you can bet Aphid will be investigating it! Underneath that initial shyness is a very loving, cuddly girl who enjoys being close to her people. Once she feels safe, her affectionate little personality really shines.
Tamariki – No kids.
Cats – Confident cats only with slow intros.
Kūri – Friendly. Ongoing socialisaion needed.
Stock/poultry – No stock, poultry or small animals.
Size – Currently 6.9kgs and is fully grown.
Ideal home:
Aphid is on the lookout for a very special home! Someone with previous dog experience and a good understanding of, or experience with, the poodle behaviour and grooming needs would be right up her street. A quieter household with older teenagers aged 16+ will suit her best, giving her the chance to settle in, find her feet and take on the big wide world one little adventure at a time. Aphid will thrive in a household where she can settle in without too much pressure and be introduced to new experiences slowly and thoughtfully.
In return, you'll get a loving little companion, a professional-level cuddler and a curious explorer who is discovering that the world isn't quite so scary after all.
Aphid has done the hard work of learning to trust. Now she's ready to find her very own people to love, cuddle and explore the world with. Could that be you? 💗
