Personality:
August is one of those happy little pups who seems to have missed the memo about having a bad day. He is sweet, playful and absolutely loves being around his people, especially when there is attention on offer! Toys are another favourite, and he is always up for a good game before settling back into his generally relaxed and easygoing nature. He is comfortable with handling and has a lovely, happy go lucky personality.
Tamariki – Any age but dog savvy children preferred with proper intros and supervision.
Cats – Not yet assessed.
Kūri – Friendly. Needs ongoing socialisation due to age.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 4.2kgs. likely to mature medium to large.
Ideal home:
August is looking for an active whānau who will keep his clever little brain busy and help him continue learning as he grows. Ongoing training, plenty of positive exposure and lots of adventures will help him become the confident young kūrī we know he can be. He would also enjoy having a friendly older dog around to show him the ropes and help teach him all the important things, like where the best nap spots are and how to get maximum attention from the humans.
August has four paws, one very waggy tail and a whole lot of love to give. Now he just needs his people to share it all with.

The adoption fee is $450 ($350 for dogs 7+ years old), which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
