Personality:

Bantam is a sweet and cautious little pup who is still figuring out that the world can be a pretty wonderful place. She is shy by nature but has a naturally inquisitive and observant side, often watching carefully and taking everything in before deciding whether she is ready to investigate. Bantam likes to assess new things at her own pace and responds beautifully to gentle, reassuring handling. Once she feels safe, her curiosity starts to peek through and you can see the lovely little girl waiting to come out of her shell.

Tamariki – 10+ and dog savvy while she builds confidence.
Cats – Ok with cats with proper supervision and training.

Kūri – Sweet and friendly. A confident doggy sibling might help to build her confidence.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 7kgs. Likely to mature small - medium in size.

Ideal home:

She is looking for an experienced home that will gently encourage her without hiding her away from the world. Her new family will need to help build her confidence through patient exposure, positive experiences, gentle training and ongoing socialisation, allowing her to discover new things at a pace she can manage. With time, understanding and the right guidance, Bantam has so much potential and we cannot wait to see her confidence grow and her personality truly shine. In return, we suspect this sweet little girl has a whole lot of love waiting for the people lucky enough to earn her trust.

A tiny little heart with a big world to discover, Bantam is ready to find someone who will show her just how safe it feels to be loved.

Things you need to know:

  • All members of the family  - including dogs -  are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
  • A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
  • We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
