Personality:
Bellini is a little social butterfly who is very eager to meet new people, climb all over you and claim you as her own. When she isn't busy collecting cuddles, you'll likely find her proudly parading around with one of her beloved soft toys, showing off her latest treasure. She's a gorgeous mix of sweetness, cheekiness and puppy spirit, with a healthy appreciation for treats that we think will make her a fun and willing student as she grows.
Tamariki – Any age provided proper supervision.
Cats – Confident cats preferred, she is currenty scared of the shelter cat.
Kūri – Keen to meet new dogs, ongoing socialisation needed due to age.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 3kgs and s likely to mature large in size.
Ideal home:
This little lass will fit into most households that understand that puppies need lots of time, energy and training.
She'll need an active, involved home where she can continue learning about the world through training, socialisation, new experiences and being included in everyday family life. Bellini came into our care with her mum and siblings, all of whom fall under the pit bull type classification. While her behaviour and temperament are lovely, she will be required to wear a muzzle in public, so her new family will need to be comfortable and prepared to meet this requirement. With plenty of love, guidance and opportunities to grow, this little girl has all the makings of a wonderful companion.

The adoption fee is $450 ($350 for dogs 7+ years old), which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
