Personality:
Briar is adorable, sweet and just a little bit sassy. This little girl has a big love for her bed, soft toys and every treat she can possibly get her paws on! Once she decides you are her person, you have a very loyal little shadow on your hands. She loves being close to her people and will happily stay by your side, only wandering off when it is time to grab her favourite toy and bring it back for you. She is intelligent, engaged and forms a wonderfully strong bond with those she trusts.
Tamariki – 5+ and dog savvy with slow intros and supervision.
Cats – Confident cats preferred with proper intros and training.
Kūri – Friendly. Needs ongoing socialisation.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 3kgs/ Likely to mature medium in size.
Ideal home:
Briar is looking for an active, experienced home that will keep her bright little mind busy and help her continue to grow in confidence. She will benefit from ongoing training and positive socialisation, with plenty of opportunities to experience the world rather than being babied. She might be a tiny handbag sized girl right now, but she has a big personality and needs to learn that those little paws are perfectly capable of exploring life from the ground.
Briar is proof that you do not need big paws to leave pawprints on someone's heart.

The adoption fee is $450 ($350 for dogs 7+ years old), which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
