About Cookie

  • Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Cross
  • Female
  • Good with children
  • 5 months
  • Can live with cats
  • Pukekohe Adoption and Education Centre

Personality:

Shy and a little unsure at first, Cookie takes her time to warm up to new people and places, but once she feels safe she becomes the biggest love bug, quietly seeking connection and gentle affection. Loud noises are still a bit scary for her, and she is still learning how to play and just be a dog, trying her best with all her heart even if things feel a little goofy and new. Beneath her timid start is a sweet girl who truly wants to learn, trust and bond with her people.

Tamariki – 10+ while she builds confidence.
Cats – Interested to sniff. Confident cat preferred.

Kūri – Interested but avoidant. Needs more socialisation.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 13.5kgs. Likely to mature large in size.

Ideal home:

Cookie is looking for a patient home, ideally with previous dog experience, who can gently help her come out of her shell at her own pace. Ongoing training, socialisation, and reassurance will be really important for her as she builds confidence and learns that the world is not such a scary place after all.

A quiet little heart learning that the world can be kind, one small step at a time 💛
