Personality:

Cricket is a soft heart wrapped in a beautiful, older soul. Affectionate, kind hearted and gentle by nature, this lovely lady's biggest ambition in life is to be close to her people, collect as many belly rubs as possible and nap like it's an Olympic sport. She still has little bursts of puppy energy that remind us there's a bit of cheeky youth left in those older bones, and we're hopeful that with some weight loss, she'll feel more comfortable and have a few good years of love and companionship ahead of her. She may have some signs of arthritis, so getting her to a healthier weight will help us better understand how she's feeling and what she needs to stay comfortable. This sweet girl isn't asking for much, just a little kindness, a lot of affection and somewhere she can finally put her paws up and feel at home.

Tamariki – Any age provided they are respectful of her space.
Cats – No cats.

Kūri – Friendly. Either another quiet dog or no dogs preferred.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 42.3kgs and is going on a diet plan.

Ideal home:

Cricket is looking for a gentle home with kind, loving people who understand that at around 70 in human years, she's earned the right to take life at her own pace. She would love to be included in life's little adventures, from leisurely strolls and garden pottering to simply keeping you company on the couch, with a little extra patience and care as she gets older. In return, she'll offer the sort of quiet, wholehearted companionship that makes a house feel like home. Cricket deserves to spend her golden years surrounded by love, comfort and people who see just how special she is.

Could you be the soft place this sweet girl lands, where her golden years are filled with cosy naps, endless belly rubs and the love she's always deserved?
