Personality:

 

Crosbie is one of those dogs who makes you stop and take a second look. Just WOW! Her unique colouration is absolutely stunning, and she has the personality to match. This gorgeous girl is friendly, playful and full of life, with a love for toys and treats that should make training a whole lot of fun. She is an intelligent girl who picks things up quickly, although her excitement can sometimes get the better of her. There is plenty of enthusiasm packed into this beautiful girl, and she is always ready for whatever adventure comes next!

 

Tamariki – 10+ with proper supervision as she is a high energy girly.
Cats – Not yet assessed.

Kūri – Rude/bold when meeting. Needs manners and socialisation.
Stock/poultry – Interesed in chickens but didn't chase. More assessment needed.
Size – Currently 16.4kgs and is almost fully grown.

 

Ideal home:

 

Crosbie is a high energy girl who needs a home that understands her breed and can keep both her body and mind busy. An experienced owner, ideally with previous Catahoula knowledge, would be best suited to helping her reach her full potential. She will need ongoing training and socialisation, along with plenty of exercise, enrichment and guidance to help her learn to channel all that enthusiasm. In the right hands, this clever girl has so much potential to become an incredible companion.

The adoption fee is $450 ($350 for dogs 7+ years old), which includes:

  • Vet check
  • First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
  • Microchipping
  • De-sexing
  • Registration
  • Bath
  • Flea and worm treatment
  • 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur

Things you need to know:

  • All members of the family  - including dogs -  are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
  • A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
  • We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
  • If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
