Personality:

 

Dan is doing fantastically at the centre, coming out of his shell more every day, loving life and he is taking to his training like a duck to water. He's a clever boy who loves to learn and has already amazed us with how quickly he picks up new skills and tricks.

Every day, Dan grows a little more confident and lets more of his wonderful personality shine through. While he still likes to take his time getting to know new people, once you're in his circle, you'll have a loyal best mate for life. Watching this handsome boy blossom has been incredibly rewarding, and we know he's only going to keep going from strength to strength. With a patient family to continue building his confidence and celebrating his wins, Dan is going to make someone the most devoted, rewarding, and truly special companion. ❤️🐾

Tamariki – Kids any age provided proper intros and supervision.
Cats – No cats.

Kūri – Is doing amazingly with his dog socialisation and is happy/friendly.
Stock/poultry – Stock - Seems uninterested. Poultry - Untested.
Size – Currently 24.4kgs and is fully grown.

Dan Carter would love a home that's keen to keep the momentum going with his training and socialisation. He's an incredibly clever boy who absolutely loves learning, and we have no doubt he'd be the star of the class at obedience or even agility. Give him a job to do and he'll throw himself into it with enthusiasm.

The more time you invest in Dan, the more you'll see his confidence soar and his personality shine. It's been amazing watching him come out of his shell, and we know the best is still to come. For the family willing to guide him, encourage him, and celebrate every milestone, Dan will repay you with unwavering loyalty and a bond that's truly something special.

The adoption fee is $450, which includes:

  • Vet check
  • First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
  • Microchipping
  • De-sexing
  • Registration
  • Bath
  • Flea and worm treatment
  • 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur

Things you need to know:

  • All members of the family  - including dogs -  are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
  • A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
  • We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
  • If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
