Personality:
This stunning boy can be quite shy in new environments. He takes a while to warm up to new people and new things but we know that deep inside, he wants to learn and trust. Once he becomes comfortable around you, his love of soft, squishy toys shines through!
Tamariki – 10+ while he builds his confidence.
Cats – Confident cats and slow intros required.
Kūri –Keen to meet but can be vocal. Needs socialisation and to learn some nice manners.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 11.5kgs and is likely to be large - XL in size.
Ideal home:
December is looking for a patient home that will let him build his confidence at his own pace while gently introducing him to all the fun things life has to offer. Positive experiences with people, dogs, new places and everyday adventures such as car rides, café trips and maybe even an ice cream date will help him discover that the big wide world is a pretty great place. Ongoing training, positive reinforcement and clear boundaries will help him grow into a confident, well mannered companion, especially as he has the potential to be a big boy.
A little shy, a lot sweet and secretly a total squishy toy enthusiast, December is just waiting for someone to show him how wonderful life can be.

The adoption fee is $450 ($350 for dogs 7+ years old), which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
