Personality:
Flex is a sweet-natured girl who loves being around people and constantly seeks out attention and affection. She thrives on human interaction and enjoys being close to those around her. Flex will benefit from confidence-building and gentle encouragement to help her feel more comfortable in new environments. As she can startle easily, a calm and patient approach will help her grow into a more confident companion.
Tamariki – Best suited to older children who can respect her need for a calm environment.
Cats – To be assessed.
Kūri – Ongoing socialisation recommended.
Stock/poultry – Ok with chickens. Poultry untested.
Ideal home:
Flex would thrive in a quiet, patient home where she can build confidence at her own pace. A family who can provide plenty of positive reinforcement, gentle encouragement and one-on-one attention will help her feel safe and secure. Due to her tendency to startle easily, a calm environment with minimal noise and activity would be ideal.

The adoption fee is $450 ($350 for dogs 7+ years old), which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
