Personality:
Honor is a happy, higher energy girl who absolutely loves people, toys and food. The tricky part is deciding which one she loves most because, ideally, she would like all three at once! She is bright, food motivated and eager to learn, and while she is still working on her basic commands, she has all the right ingredients to become a fantastic student. With her playful personality, enthusiasm and zest for life, Honor is the kind of girl who brings plenty of fun wherever she goes.
Tamariki – Dog savy kids 10+ with slow intros and supervision.
Cats – Not yet assessed.
Kūri – Shy but friendly. Ongoing socialisation needed.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 7.1kgs. Likely to mature large in size.
Ideal home:
Honor is looking for an active, committed home with people who have the time and energy to keep up with her. She would suit a home that enjoys getting out and about and is looking for a dog to include in daily adventures, rather than one who will be happy sitting on the couch all day. Ongoing training, clear boundaries and positive socialisation will be important, and she would thrive with someone who enjoys teaching and working with their dog. With her intelligence and drive, an extra mission such as obedience, Rally O or another dog sport would be a fantastic outlet for her clever brain. Honor has plenty of enthusiasm to give, and the right home will be ready to channel that energy into something positive while giving her the guidance and consistency she needs to flourish.

The adoption fee is $450 ($350 for dogs 7+ years old), which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
