Personality:
January is a confident, happy go lucky little pup with plenty of personality packed into those gorgeous Shar Pei wrinkles! She is curious, cheeky and wonderfully sure of herself, with that classic Shar Pei charm that makes you smile. She loves being part of the action and has a fun little spark about her that is sure to keep her people entertained. She is an adorable mix of confidence, character and puppy sweetness.
Tamariki – 10+ as she is going through her typical puppy sharky phase.
Cats – Not yet assessed.
Kūri – Friendly. Needs ongoing socialisation due to age.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 6kgs. Likely to mature large in size.
Ideal home:
January is looking for a whānau who understands the Shar Pei breed and appreciates all the quirks that come with it. She will benefit from continued positive reinforcement training, thoughtful socialisation and clear, consistent boundaries to help her learn good manners and grow into a well rounded adult dog. She will need plenty of enrichment, exercise and opportunities to experience the world alongside her people. With the right guidance, patience and plenty of love, January has all the ingredients to become a wonderful companion and a very special member of the family.

The adoption fee is $450 ($350 for dogs 7+ years old), which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
