Personality:
Kevin is a high energy, playful boy with a big personality and plenty of enthusiasm for life. He loves attention, toys, playtime and being right in the middle of whatever is happening. He can be a little barky at times and definitely has plenty to say, especially when he is excited, but underneath all that energy is a very sweet boy who loves his people. Kevin is clever, eager to please and easy to train, picking things up quickly and listening well to his commands. He is the kind of dog who will keep you entertained and make sure life is never boring.
Tamariki – 5+ and dog savvy with proper intros and supervision.
Cats – No cats, would chase.
Kūri – Friendly but lacks socialisation/manners.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 13.8kgs. Likely to mature large in size.
Ideal home:
Kevin is looking for a home that can match his energy and is ready to keep his busy body and clever mind occupied. He will need ongoing training, clear boundaries and plenty of positive socialisation to help him channel all that enthusiasm in the right direction. An active home, farm or lifestyle property could be a great fit, giving him plenty of room for adventures, play and enrichment. With someone who enjoys a big, energetic personality and is happy to keep working with him, Kevin has all the makings of a fantastic companion.

The adoption fee is $450 ($350 for dogs 7+ years old), which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
