Personality:
Monte may be a little shy when you first meet her, but give her some gentle encouragement and it won't be long before her confidence starts to shine. Once she feels comfortable, out comes the little explorer! Monte is wonderfully curious and loves investigating her surroundings, chasing a ball and getting stuck into rope toys and blankets. She is also lovely to handle and absolutely laps up attention once she knows she is safe and settled.
Tamariki – Any age provided proper intros and supervision.
Cats – Interested but trainable with proper intros.
Kūri – DFriendly. Ongoing socialisaion required due to age.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 2.1kgs. Likely to mature large in size.
Ideal home:
Monte is looking for a home that is ready to commit to puppy school, ongoing training, socialisation and plenty of enrichment. She is an intelligent and curious young pup who will thrive with a family that can give her lots of opportunities to learn, explore and burn off her puppy energy, both physically and mentally. With patience, positive guidance and plenty of love, Monte has all the makings of a wonderful little companion.

The adoption fee is $450 ($350 for dogs 7+ years old), which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
