Personality:
Novus is a sweet, shy girl with a kind and loving nature who really comes out of her shell once playtime begins. She absolutely loves a good rough and tumble session and will happily swap toys for human attention any day! Cuddles, affection and being close to her people are definitely high on her list of favourite things. She is confident when exploring new places and enjoys discovering the world around her, although sudden or loud noises can sometimes make her a little unsure.
Tamariki – 10+ while she builds confidence and manners.
Cats – Ok with proper supervision.
Kūri – Friendly. Ongoing socialisation needed.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 14.8kg. Likely to mature large in size.
Ideal home:
Novus is still learning her manners and finding her confidence, so she will benefit from a patient and understanding whānau who can give her time to settle in and continue building her confidence. Ongoing positive reinforcement training and plenty of gentle socialisation will help her become the happy, confident girl we know she can be. She would love a home where she can be included in everyday life, enjoy plenty of play and cuddles, and have people who will cheer her on as she learns and grows.
Novus may start off a little shy, but give her a little time and she will be right there beside you, ready for cuddles, playtime and all the love she has to give.

The adoption fee is $450 ($350 for dogs 7+ years old), which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
