Personality:
Portia Woodman is a soft, sensitive girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe and gentle place. She can be nervous in new situations, but underneath that uncertainty is a sweet nature that is slowly starting to peek through. In calm, quiet environments, you’ll see her begin to relax, take in her surroundings and show little glimpses of the lovely dog she is becoming. She truly wants to connect with people, she just needs a bit of time, patience and reassurance to help her confidence grow.
Tamariki – 10+ while she builds confidence.
Cats – She was scared of the shelter cat, ok with correct intros and training.
Kūri – Friendly. Needs ongoing socialisation.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 3.6kgs. Likely to mature large in size.
Ideal home:
Portia is looking for a home with some experience and a gentle, understanding approach to help her continue building confidence at her own pace. She will thrive with calm routines, positive reinforcement, and people who are willing to invest time in her ongoing training and socialisation. As her confidence grows, she’ll benefit from being gradually introduced to new environments and experiences, rather than being sheltered away, so she can learn the world isn’t such a scary place. She would love a home that includes her in everyday life and activities, with enrichment, gentle adventures, and companionship all helping her blossom into the dog she is meant to be.
A quiet soul with a big heart, just waiting for the right person to help it shine ✨🐾
