Personality:
Spider is a spunky little dude with a big heart hiding behind a slightly shy first impression! New people and unfamiliar situations can make him a little wobbly at first, but once he realises he is safe, stand back because the snuggles are coming! His favourite thing in the whole world might just be a soft toy, especially if he can bring it straight into your lap for a cuddle and a play. Although ititially shy, he loves getting out and about, exploring new places and discovering what the world has to offer, making him a pretty adorable candidate for your next road trip adventure.
Tamariki – 5+ while he builds confidence.
Cats – No cats, ne has some prey drive and would chase.
Kūri – Friendly and playful. A doggy sibling is on his wish list.
Stock/poultry – Untested.
Size – Currently 6.4kgs and is fully grown.
Ideal home:
Spider is looking for an active home where he can be part of the action, from weekend adventures to cosy evenings with his favourite toys. He will benefit from continued training, socialisation and gentle encouragement to help build his confidence around new people and experiences. A playful dog buddy who can keep him entertained would be a wonderful bonus, provided they are a good match. With a little patience, plenty of fun and lots of love, this sweet boy has all the makings of a devoted little sidekick who will bring plenty of personality and cuddles to his new whānau.

The adoption fee is $450 ($350 for dogs 7+ years old), which includes:
- Vet check
- First vaccination (including Lepto and Kennel Cough)
- Microchipping
- De-sexing
- Registration
- Bath
- Flea and worm treatment
- 1-month free accident cover from Pet-n-Sur
Things you need to know:
- All members of the family - including dogs - are required to come to a meet & greet appointment if selected in the adoption process. This includes out of Aucklanders.
- A fully fenced section or outside containment will be needed to pass a property inspection.
- We aim to find the best home for each dog, so adopting a dog is not on a first-in-first-served basis.
- If you are unsuccessful, we will keep your application on file for 6 months or may suggest another dog that is suited to your application.
