Curious about your roots? This beginner-friendly workshop will help you take your first steps into family history research using Auckland Libraries’ collections and expert support.
You’ll learn how to get started, stay organised and explore key records with confidence.
Our facilitator will introduce best practice research techniques and demonstrate tools such as Ancestry Library Edition, FamilySearch and Findmypast.
What you’ll learn:

- ways to organise and record your research
- how to use Auckland Libraries’ resources (online and in-person)
- tips for searching genealogy databases and evaluating records
- how to find key sources like birth, death and marriage records, immigration documents and newspapers.
