Botanical printing (eco-printing) is a natural textile printing technique that uses heat and natural plant pigments to transfer the colours and textures of leaves and flowers onto fabric.

In this workshop, you’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of botanical printing, including:

  • plant selection
  • fabric preparation
  • composition
  • steaming techniques.

Using carefully selected and locally foraged botanical materials, you’ll transform vintage 1980s Japanese silk into a uniquely printed scarf of your very own!

Suitable for beginners, and anyone with an interest in sustainable fashion, natural dyeing and creative reuse.
