The Henderson Shuffle is a 12‑hour, non‑competitive community endurance event - where people walk, jog, run, shuffle or stroll as many laps as they like around the Henderson Park loop.

It’s designed to be fun, inclusive and pressure‑free. A festival‑style atmosphere celebrates movement, community, and connection. Participants and supporters can look forward to a full day of activity, atmosphere and community spirit.

On the course

A safe, scenic loop through Henderson Park’s native bush and open green spaces. Walkers, runners, families, teams and solo shufflers all share the track.

Laps counted and celebrated - whether you do one lap or one hundred.

Around the event village

You can find:

  • the registration and information tent
  • a massage/stretch area for tired legs
  • community groups showcasing local initiatives.

Atmosphere

Friendly volunteers will cheer everyone on. Families can picnic on the grass. Teams can set up small tents as home base for the day.

There will be a steady flow of people coming and going - no pressure to stay all day.

Who the event is suitable for:

The Henderson Shuffle is intentionally designed to be for everyone.

Perfect for:

  • kids (safe loop and short distances)
  • adults (walkers, joggers, runners, first‑timers and seasoned athletes)
  • families (prams, toddlers and grandparents all welcome)
  • workplaces and teams (great for bonding and friendly competition)
  • schools and sports clubs (group participation encouraged)
  • community groups (a chance to represent and connect)
  • people returning to exercise (no pressure and no cut‑offs).

Not suitable for bicycles or off-lead dogs (on-lead is fine).
