Future Flowering - Aotearoa is a free floral exhibition bringing together 10 artists from across Aotearoa inside Auckland’s iconic Silo 6.
A different kind of flower show, Future Flowering removes the competition, commercial briefs and traditional expectations of floristry, giving each artist the freedom to experiment, explore their individual practice and create work inspired by their own relationship with flowers and the natural world.
At its heart, the exhibition is about creativity, community and a more thoughtful future for flowers. Seasonality, sustainability, local growing, natural materials and more considered ways of working are all part of the conversation - creating space to share ideas and explore where floristry can go next.
Alongside the free exhibition, the weekend includes ticketed workshops and opportunities to get hands-on, slow down and experience flowers in a different way.
