Join artist and designer Hannah-Lee Jade for a hands-on lamp shade making workshop exploring textile waste and biomaterials.
Using discarded men’s shirts, agar agar and bacterial cellulose, participants will transform unwanted or grown materials into unique, functional lamp shades. The workshop introduces simple techniques for working with biomaterials, textile reuse and low waste making, while encouraging experimentation and creative problem solving.
No previous experience is required. Come along to explore how everyday waste can become beautiful, tactile and useful objects!
Materials and equipment supplied. Bring your own lamp/shade if you have one you wish to redesign.
Maximum of 10 participants.
