Material Distance is a collaborative poetry and art book by Louise Stevenson and Jodie Dalgleish, created over several years and countless exchanges both in New Zealand and Europe.
Initially inspired by the distance of New Zealand from the rest of the world during the Covid-19 pandemic, it grew to incorporate sentiments of concern and grief over climate change and the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Designed by Katie Kerr and crafted by Design Bind, this is a limited-edition artist book of only 45 copies.
