Auckland Zoo said a sad farewell to three of their orangutans, Madju, Isim and Gangsa on 12 November 2015.
Isim, 21, and Gangsa, 25, are relocating to Los Angeles Zoo, and Madju, 10, is moving to Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida.
Watch to see the team effort it takes to prepare them for their flight to the United States to help the international breeding programme for these precious primates.
Council-controlled organisation Regional Facilities Auckland manages major regional facilities and iconic venues across Auckland, including Auckland Zoo.
