Katherine Anderson, Auckland Council's Director Legal and Risk, was named 'In-house Lawyer of Year' at the New Zealand Law Awards last week.
The award is an acknowledgement of the outstanding work Katherine has done at council since she joined in February 2014.
Her biggest achievement to date?
"The Unitary Plan – the most important piece of land use regulation affecting Auckland's future. The Ministry of Finance has described the Plan as significant to the economy of Auckland and New Zealand. It's an amazing experience to be part of the team making this happen."
Last year Auckland Council won 'In-house Legal Team of the Year'.
