Tēnā koutou katoa,
Happy festive season. It is great to be in December with summer and time with family and friends to look forward to.
2021 has been another challenging year for us, but we’ve made it, and our community has been amazing. Big thanks to you all for hanging in there with the COVID-19 lockdown we faced together.
We are settling into the new traffic light system and looking towards the Auckland border being lifted. Many of us will be planning to holiday out of Auckland and catch up with those we have been separated from over the past months. Exciting times - to be able to enjoy summer, re-energise and to have some fun.
If you plan to have a stay-cation you have many amazing parks, both local and regional, to explore over summer and, locally, our beautiful Pt Chevalier beach. Try this link here to find a park or beach to enjoy.
The local board has several grant rounds opening in January and March, there is more detail in this newsletter.
Have a great summer break and I look forward to being back in touch in 2022.
All the best,
Lee Corrick
