  • Pukekohe Adoption and Education Centre

Personality:

Gnome is a very energetic boy who loves to play, but he also has a soft side and really enjoys cuddles, attention, and a good belly rub.

Tamariki: Suitable for children 10+ due to jumpy and mouthy behaviour.
Cats: Not suitable—he has shown a lot of interest in them.
Kūri: Generally good with other dogs, but would benefit from more socialisation with proper introductions.
Stock/Poultry: Not tested.
Size: Currently weighs 18kg and is expected to grow into a large-sized dog.

Ideal Home:

Gnome would thrive in an experienced large-breed home that can provide him with the time, training, and stimulation he needs while he moves through his puppy stage. He is expected to grow into a big boy, so ongoing training and early socialisation will be really important—puppy classes would be highly recommended.

He may also benefit from having a confident, older canine companion to help guide him, show him the ropes, and support him in learning boundaries.

With the right guidance, Gnome has the potential to grow into a well-rounded, loving companion who will bring plenty of fun and affection to his new home
