Learn simple printmaking techniques and create one-of-a-kind artwork.
Join us for a relaxed, hands-on introduction to gelli plate monoprinting - a playful, accessible way to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind prints.
This workshop is designed especially for adults (16+) who want to try something new in a friendly, supportive space. No experience needed - just curiosity and a willingness to have a go.
Small group = lots of individual guidance.
With limited spaces, everyone gets plenty of support and time to experiment.
Your tutor Alan Worman is an artist and experienced educator who loves helping people discover their creative side. You may have seen him printing at Central Flea or through his work with Science in a Van.
With years of experience running engaging, inclusive workshops Alan creates a relaxed atmosphere where everyone feels welcome - whether you’re brand new to art or returning after a long break.
What you’ll do
- Learn simple gelli printing techniques.
- Experiment with colour, texture, and layering.
- Create a stack of unique monoprints.
- Finish with one special final artwork.
We’ll be printing on reclaimed paper - good for experimenting and reducing waste.
You’ll head home with artworks that you’re proud of - even if you don’t consider yourself 'artsy'. You'll also receive a zine, made by Alan which recaps the ideas and skills you've explored through the session.
This is a drug and alcohol free event.
