Come and begin your harakeke journey!
Learn the tikanga connected to harvesting, preparing and treating harakeke. Plus you get to create beautiful woven projects.
What to bring:
- small tarpaulin
- garden gloves
- scissors
- old bath towel
- eight pegs
- bucket.
We will meet at the reception area of Auckland Botanic Gardens at 9.30am.
For the first session, please bring only your tarpaulin and garden gloves to the meeting point. The remaining items can be left in your car until we return to the homestead.
Additional specialised tools will be used during the workshop and will be available for purchase on the day if you are unable to source them yourself.
